Where to pay
- Open Payments for invoices and receipts.
- Follow the pay link on an invoice when a pro requests a deposit, progress payment, or final balance.
- Instant booking flows (when offered) may charge a booking fee up front — complete payment with the secure checkout the platform returns.
Tips
- Confirm the scope in Messages before paying a change order.
- Save receipts from the payments tab for warranties, insurance, and tax records.
- Prefer platform invoices when you want the work to count toward a verified review later.
If something looks wrong
- Message the pro with the invoice ID and what you expected.
- Use Help & support if you need a platform mediator.
- Avoid reversing a card charge with your bank until you have used the in-app path — that often delays resolution.
